These Terms of Service ("Terms") govern your use of Oppiyah at oppiyah.com (the "Service"). The Service is operated by Mikko Salama ("Oppiyah", "we", "us").

By using the Service, you agree to these Terms. If you do not agree, do not use the Service.

1. About the Service

Oppiyah is an educational platform that may include a lesson library, learning games, progress dashboards, and AI-assisted lesson/content creation tools for parents, teachers, schools, and learners.

2. Eligibility and educational use

• Adults (parents, guardians, teachers, or school representatives) are responsible for learner use under their supervision.
• If you use Oppiyah for a school or organization, you confirm you have authority to do so.
• Children should use the Service with appropriate parent/teacher/school involvement where required.

3. Accounts and responsibilities

• You are responsible for account security and activity under your account.
• You must provide accurate information and keep it reasonably up to date.
• You must notify us if you believe your account is compromised.

4. Acceptable use

You agree not to use the Service for illegal, abusive, harmful, fraudulent, or infringing activity, and not to disrupt or bypass security controls.

5. User content and license

You retain ownership of your content. You grant Oppiyah a non-exclusive, worldwide, royalty-free license to host, process, adapt, display, and store content as needed to operate and improve the Service.

6. AI-assisted features

• AI output can be inaccurate, incomplete, or unsuitable for specific learners.
• Human review is required before using AI-generated educational material.
• Do not submit sensitive personal data unless you have proper legal basis and safeguards.

7. Educational disclaimer

Oppiyah supports education but is not a substitute for professional educational, medical, psychological, or legal advice. Educators and guardians remain responsible for supervision and instructional decisions.

8. Intellectual property

Except for user content, the Service and its original software, design, branding, and materials are owned by or licensed to Oppiyah and protected by law.

9. Service availability and changes

We aim for reliable service but do not guarantee uninterrupted availability. We may modify, suspend, or discontinue features at any time.

10. Pricing

The Service is currently free. Paid features may be introduced in the future, with updated terms before paid use begins.

11. Suspension and termination

We may suspend or terminate access for misuse, legal risk, or Terms violations. You may stop using the Service at any time.

12. Disclaimers and liability limits

To the maximum extent permitted by law, the Service is provided "as is" and "as available" without warranties. Oppiyah and Mikko Salama are not liable for indirect or consequential losses arising from use of the Service.

13. Governing law and jurisdiction

These Terms are governed by the laws of Finland. Disputes are subject to the competent courts of Finland.

14. Changes and contact

We may update these Terms from time to time. Updated terms will be posted on this page with a revised "Last updated" date.
